Job Reference: PA/DP/LON/MAN/495
Location:London, Manchester

About the job:

Digital technologies are key tools of global business. The communication, sharing and storage of information allows businesses and people to connect with colleagues, clients and customers. New technologies bring an increased risk of unauthorized data disclosure and regulators have increased data privacy constraints, including in the field of cross-border transfers of personal data. These are designed to protect the integrity of business and personal information. Our client is a big corporate with a vast international footprint that is looking to leverage its position. It is seeking to add to its bench strength in this highly active and eminently sustainable area of the law. We are looking for a solicitor of 0-2PQE and 4-8PQE to join its data protection and information security team in London or Manchester to assist clients in navigating data protection and information security legislation. As you know, data flow is a fundamental component of doing business. It is an asset which needs protection. You will be advising on the legal frameworks governing the confidentiality, integrity and availability of that information. At the junior end you will be keen to specialise in this area or, as a more seasoned operator, you will have had the requisite years at the data coal face. Our client offers a flexible and friendly working environment, not to mention a highly competitive remuneration package and excellent benefits as you would expect of a leading corporate. Please call me, Paul (Atherton) on 0161 8800 118 or 07852 399266. We are an equal opportunities recruiter that is always looking to promote a more reflective work environment.
