ROLE 

As a Senior Associate in the Corporate Commercial team, you will: 

• Specialise in commercial maritime transactions including sale and purchase, construction, finance and corporate work. 
• Draft and negotiate transaction documents with precision and clarity. 
• Manage transactions from inception to completion, ensuring seamless communication with clients and local counsel. 
• Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth. 
• Play a pivotal role in business development, expanding client relationships and elevating the firm’s profile. 
• Participate in client events, legal directory submissions and contribute to thought leadership through articles and social media. 
• Stay ahead of the curve by maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge in your areas of expertise. 

REQUIREMENTS 

• Substantial experience in commercial maritime transactions with a proven track record of success. 
• Demonstrated ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and time zones. 
• Strong business development skills with experience in pitch preparation and relationship building. 
• Exceptional attention to detail and superior drafting abilities. 
• Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels. 
• Proven ability to manage complex transactions and meet strict deadlines. 
• Experience in supervising and developing junior team members. 
• Resilient approach to handling pressure and maintaining high standards. 
• Commercial awareness and understanding of the maritime sector.
