ROLE
As a Senior Associate in the Corporate Commercial team, you will:
- Specialise in commercial maritime transactions including sale and purchase, construction, finance and corporate work.
- Draft and negotiate transaction documents with precision and clarity.
- Manage transactions from inception to completion, ensuring seamless communication with clients and local counsel.
- Supervise and mentor junior team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Play a pivotal role in business development, expanding client relationships and elevating the firm’s profile.
- Participate in client events, legal directory submissions and contribute to thought leadership through articles and social media.
- Stay ahead of the curve by maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge in your areas of expertise.
REQUIREMENTS
- Substantial experience in commercial maritime transactions with a proven track record of success.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple jurisdictions and time zones.
- Strong business development skills with experience in pitch preparation and relationship building.
- Exceptional attention to detail and superior drafting abilities.
- Outstanding communication skills and the ability to build relationships at all levels.
- Proven ability to manage complex transactions and meet strict deadlines.
- Experience in supervising and developing junior team members.
- Resilient approach to handling pressure and maintaining high standards.
- Commercial awareness and understanding of the maritime sector.
