When you join this firm, you will become an integral part of a sizeable and expanding team who act for clients at all levels from entry points in the construction sector, to major institutional investors, public sector, contractors, insurer and in all tiers of PPP contracts. As an NQ, your responsibilities will include; assisting clients at all levels and entry points in the sectors outlined above, working closely with junior and senior members of the Construction Disputes team, supporting partners in acting for clients, working on construction an engineering disputes in adjudication, arbitration and litigation and taking part in business development initiatives. At newly qualified, you will be part of a collegiate and supportive environment that will nurture the growth and development of younger lawyers and provide high quality work. You will also be requested to take part on construction conferences, writing construction journals and presenting.
Our client is particularly interested to hearing from ambitious and enthusiastic individuals who would like to actin adjudications, court and arbitrations. You must; be a solicitor (trainees due to qualify soon can be considered) qualified in England & Wales or Commonwealth jurisdiction who possess excellent academic results with a minimum of 2:1 from a recognised institution, be able to demonstrate an understanding of clients’ needs/expectations, skilled in IT literacy and up to speed with law tech, highly organised and hardworking with the ability to prioritise and plan work so that deadlines are met. In order to succeed in the role the successful candidate must feel comfortable working independently and as part of a team, while offering colleagues a positive in attitude with the ability to adhere to all guidelines and procedures.
