ROLE 

 As a Legal Director, you will: 

• Lead high-profile matters related to the Consumer Credit Act and mortgage regulatory frameworks. 
• Provide strategic advice to financial institutions, lenders and large corporates on compliance with UK financial regulations. 
• Develop and implement risk and compliance strategies in line with evolving regulatory landscapes. 
• Represent clients in regulatory investigations, enforcement actions and disputes. 
• Manage and mentor a high-performing team, fostering collaboration and professional growth. 
• Drive business development initiatives to expand the firm’s presence and strengthen client relationships. 

REQUIREMENTS 

To be successful in this role, you will need: 

• 8+ years PQE in consumer credit and/or mortgages regulatory law, with a proven track record. 
• Comprehensive knowledge of the Consumer Credit Act, FCA regulations and UK financial services law. 
• Experience advising on complex regulatory issues in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. 
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with a focus on collaboration and development. 
• Commercial acumen and a proactive approach to business development. 
• Exceptional client management and interpersonal skills.
